State-of-the-art Facilities

The 新兴媒体 program moved into the new state-of-the-art Gira中心 Summer 2014 and began teaching classes in the new 设施 Spring 2014.
吉拉中心, 3rd floor houses the television studio, 10 audio/video edit bays, video demonstration studio, video demonstration classroom, post production lab/classroom, 绿色的房间, 更衣室, 设备机房, and faculty/staff offices.
FSU-TV 3
FSU-TV3 is Frostburg State University's 24-hour educational access channel that reaches nearly 5,000 homes in the Frostburg area and also FSU students on the basic tier on Comcast's cable system. It is programmed and operated by students in the Program of 新兴媒体 during the Fall, Intersession and Spring semesters.
FSU-TV3 presents programming produced by the students in the Program of 新兴媒体. These shows include documentaries; "The Frostburg Experience"; FSU Music Department and other concerts; guest speakers; multi-camera events such as panel discussions and more.
Our other programming comes from PEGMEDIA.ORG. When FSU-TV3 isn't airing programming, it carries a message board with announcements about Frostburg State University events and events for local non-profit groups and activities.

The state of the art television studio is equipped with 4 Hitachi X-High-Definition 5000 cameras television cameras and a Sony BRCZ700 Remote Controlled Grid Camera, 3 LCD Autoscript teleprompters, a Ross Carbonite 2 Studio production switcher, an XPression Graphics system as well as a Ross Unreel Virtual Set System for 3 of the studio cameras. For package play-back we have 4 different channels through EditShare’s Geevs Servers along with 2 channels of Ross Blackstorm outputs for short playback materials. The studio also has LED and Fluorescent lighting.
For audio control, we are using a Logitek Jet Stream Mini with a Logitek Board. We have 5 wireless and 10 wired microphone systems. Digi-Cart and Instant Replay machines supplement sound effects and other audio sources for the studio.
The studio has remote capabilities that allow users to place remote cameras in three different areas within the Gira中心 for Communication and Information Technology building. These include the Multi-Media Learning Center (first floor), both inside and outside a large, 150 person banquet room (third floor), and on the roof of the building. In addition, we can Skype guests in for interviews into the studio.
Post-Production Facilities
The 新兴媒体 program has a 33-seat audio/video editing lab running the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. This space is dedicated exclusively for emerging media writing and production students. The program also has 10 separate editing suites including 1 BlackMagic DaVinci Resolve Color Correction suite. The post-production 设施 are tied into a 100 Terabyte EditShare video server and storage facility.
机房
Work study students supervise the equipment room and check out a variety of equipment such as video cameras, 灯, 三脚, 和麦克风. Equipment is available for students enrolled in 新兴媒体 production courses only. 不幸的是, we do not have the equipment/staff to offer equipment other than in our production oriented classes at this time.
